Some of my favorite Sharp Craftworks creations

Large coffee table built from the cast iron "harp" of a Thompson piano, oak legs and a tempered glass top. The piano itself was in rough shape and destined for the curb, so I was happy to repurpose a beautiful but seldom seen part of it.

Piano table in its final home. It took several strong men to make the delivery, it is an exceptionally heavy piece of furniture

Walnut, purpleheart, sapele, and cocobolo fountain pen with aluminum fittings. This was made for a client whose late father had been a woodworker, using walnut that had been left in his shop.

Walnut tamper handle for a Rancilio Silvia espresso machine (and probably compatible with many others)

Cherry wood and concrete side table. The piece is freshly finished here, but over time the cherry will age into the rich dark color so many people love.

Hand carved walnut and maple keepsake box for a very special young woman. There are computer-controlled machines that could make this in minutes, but I think there's something so much more special about hand crafting.

Walnut end grain cutting board. I've had people say that the cutting board are too nice to use, but I firmly believe that every scratch and cut just adds to the beauty.

Every now and then I'll play around with a little forging. This hook was made specifically to hang headphones in a home office during the Covid era when everyone was working on Zoom

Home bar made from the front end of a 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT, complete with a tempered glass top and working headlights and turn signals. Click on my "How It's Made" page above for more about the construction process.

The back of the bar features a lighted cabinet with sliding aluminum diamond plate doors. High quality casters make the bar mobile despite its size and weight.

Hand carved walnut and maple keepsake box. The was created for an avid gardener and botanist, so the lid is carved with the sun and each side has a different botanical image.

The box is lined with red felt.
